somewhere in the shadows lies a person wide awake
"can life give far more that it can take?"
he asks himself time and time again
"no answer" cries every element of reason
for the heart sees not time nor season
the laws of love no reason do heed
warmth and affection are it's sole need
cries his heart but not his mind
then declares his logic "love is blind"
for logic itself has no feeling..and logic itself is confined
for not seeing isn't not believing
retorts his heart to nothing kneeling
for in the shadows they wander together,both heart and brain unclear
whether love or logic can coexist in people governed by fear!!
