The Journey

Rolled forth the gentle deep blue sea
consuming me in it's melody..
drift away,from present to past
did the soul, now from the body outcast....

The soul searches a troubled mind
looking at the past it left behind
As a beggar through garbage sifts
Longing for money or gifts

Combing the past from time's beginning
to help a mind that is now perceiving
this world to be sorrowful and grieving....

The soul rejoices as it has found
piece of mind and thinking sound
no more is it anxious with trouble deep
Now in it's body calm,it will sleep

For it has found now what it did seek
amidst the dying and the weak
hope,yes hope did it find
of sound to the deaf and light to the blind......

awesome!.....very deep...though i felt the reason for the soul to be calm wasnt brought out in a convincing manner. It also looks as though you are trying too hard to rhyme....its my opinion that for a poem that conveys something as deep as this...an 'a-b-a-b' rhyme reduces its intensity....
